Cloud Security Alliance Seeking Speakers For US Congress 2013 In Orlando

Orlando, FL – March 28, 2013 - MIS Training Institute and the Cloud Security Alliance are looking for seasoned speakers to present at the 4th Annual Cloud Security Alliance Congress US, being held in Orlando, November 13th & 14th, 2013. The Congress this year will feature six tracks with speaker and panel sessions dedicated to all aspects of cloud computing security and privacy. The six tracks will focus on:

  • Strategy, Design and Implementation
  • Management and Operations
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance
  • Mobile Computing
  • Emerging Technologies and Trends
  • Government and Academia
If you are knowledgeable in these areas of cloud computing and have excellent communication skills, we would like you to share your expertise at this event. We are particularly looking for:
  • Applications of CSA guidance, tools and other publications
  • Case studies
  • Practical advice
  • Research including CSA Research Presentations
Curriculum sessions planned to date include:
  • Financial Services use of Cloud Computing
  • Incident Response and Forensics in the Cloud
  • Payment Card Industry standards and compliance
  • Government Community Cloud solutions
  • FISMA/FedRAMP
  • Identity Management in the Cloud
  • Virtualization Management
  • Hybrid Clouds
  • Security as a Service
  • Open Certification Framework (OCF)
  • Cross-border privacy issues
  • Application of the GRC Stack
All selected speakers will receive a complementary speaker registration to the event, and exposure via the conference brochure and Web site. Submission requirements Our audience looks for real-world solutions to real-world problems. Sessions should emphasize practical advice, actionable research, case studies of cloud computing projects and solutions, and, above all, application of CSA publications. Presentations may mention vendors’ products and services, but must be objective and vendor neutral. No proposals from a vendor organization related to its product(s) will be considered. Please be sure that your submissions include the following: Presenter information: (Name, Title, Organization, Address, Phone, Fax and Email) A current resume or biography Title of your proposed session/s Congress track you would like to present in Target audience for the session Proposed level of session (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) Executive summary of presentation (80-100 words) followed by 5 or 6 key bullet points highlighting what you will cover in your talk Two references with e-mail addresses and phone numbers if you have not spoken for CSA / MIS before Baseline technical knowledge required of attendees Special arrangements you will need (e.g. Internet connection, two screens, flip charts) Send proposal(s) to [email protected] by April 19th. Proposals received after April 19th will not be considered. If your proposal is selected we will contact you by April 29th. Due to the volume of submissions it is not possible for us to reply to every submission. We thank you in advance for your submission. Track Chairs and Selection Committees The Cloud Security Alliance / MIS are also looking for volunteers to serve as track chairs and members of selection committees for each track. A total of five volunteers for each track are sought. If you are interested in serving as a track chair or committee member please email [email protected] by April 15. Please include your current resume or biography and the name of the track that you wish to serve on. If you are selected to serve as a track chair or serve on a committee you will be contacted by April 22. The estimated time commitment is five – ten hours spent selecting sessions, and five – ten hours in September reviewing final presentations. Volunteers who are accepted to serve as track chairs and members of the selection committees will receive a free pass to CSA Congress US.
