The International Association of Privacy Professionals and Cloud Security Alliance Announce Privacy. Security. Risk. 2015 Conference and Call for Speaker Proposals

The IAPP’s Privacy Academy and CSA Congress present P.S.R., two conferences with one powerhouse program to connect privacy and security professionals Portsmouth, NH – February 23, 2015 – The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the largest organization of privacy professionals in the world, and the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing, today announced the call for speaker proposals for the upcoming Privacy. Security. Risk. (P.S.R.), a conference presented by the IAPP Privacy Academy and the CSA Congress. The conference will take place September 29–October 1, 2015 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. P.S.R. will again bring together two industry leading events to provide attendees with more than double the education and networking opportunities with the leading innovators and practitioners in technology, security and privacy for the price of a single conference. “We are thrilled to present this conference as Privacy. Security. Risk. The name reflects the ever-evolving and increasingly overlapping intersection of privacy and cloud security. As data continues to become today’s most valuable currency, professionals who understand the risks of mismanaging privacy and security are essential. We’ve created a unique cross-educational opportunity through P.S.R. to discuss the practical and theoretical in today’s data driven economy,” said Trevor Hughes, CIPP, President and CEO of the IAPP. “We have seen aggressive cloud adoption in the past year, and it is clearly on a trajectory to become our primary information technology system. The stakes are high for the security and privacy communities to share best practices and address concerns around data sovereignty, cyber threats, governance, provider transparency and the role of governments,” said Jim Reavis, CEO of the CSA. The CSA and the IAPP are coming together once again to give today’s industry practitioners access to leading global thinkers and innovators who are being charged with addressing cloud security and these concerns.” Beginning today, speaker proposals for P.S.R. are being accepted. A list of topics of interest and submission guidelines can be found on the IAPP website at: https://privacyassociation.org/conference/privacy-security-risk-2015.
