Cloud Security Alliance APAC Issues Call for Papers for CISO Forum 2013

CSA APAC seeks proposals from practitioners, researchers, and academics on a broad range of cloud security topics

CSA CONGRESS ASIA PACIFIC – Singapore – June 25, 2013– The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, today issued a Call for Papers for the CSA CISO APAC Forum 2013 which will be held at The Venetian, Macau, from 19^th to 22^th November 2013. Building on last year’s success, the CSA APAC CISO Forum 2013 will continue to be the cloud industry’s premier gathering for CSO/CISOs, IT security thought leaders, top executives and renowned academics in the APAC region. The deadline for submitting a proposal is July 26, 2013. “The first CSA CISO APAC Forum was an overwhelming success, both in terms of participation and the exchange of knowledge between some of the leading CSO/CISO in this region,” said Aloysius Cheang, Managing Director APAC, for the CSA. “The objective of this CISO Forum remains the same: to further the CSA’s mission of establishing a global trusted eco-system while addressing the specific security, governance and policy challenges related to the APAC region. We look forward to delivering another high quality event that offers real-world solutions to real-world problems.” This year’s event will focus on emerging areas of growth and concern in cloud and mobile security and seeks proposals from practitioners and compelling research innovations from industry and academic researchers across three core themes:

1. Governance, Risk and Compliance
2. Mobile computing and cloud computing security
3. Security of Big Data, Emerging Technologies and Trends

In addition to the CISO Forum, CSA APAC will be hosting more than 10 events over the course of the next twelve months. These will include a variety of satellite events across the region, including summits in Australia, Beijing, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Malaysia, and Shanghai, roundtable events in Hong Kong and Macau as well as regional Congress events in China and India.
