CLOUDSEC Congress 2014 Addresses Security Issues With IoT

CLOUDSEC had its fourth annual security conference this year in Singapore on 3rd September with the theme “The Internet SECURITY of Everything.” Hosted by Trend Micro, CLOUDSEC 2014 discussed how enterprises can understand the challenges and current strategies of securing the IoE that occur both today and in the future. The attendees also got to hear the experts’ thoughts on security solutions which can be implemented today in order to fully harness the power of IoE for organisations and enterprises.

Jim Reavis, CEO, Cloud Security Alliance was the part of the Panel Discussion for Internet Security of Everything along with Freddy Tan, APAC Strategic Advisor, Cloud Security Alliance discussed Software Defined Perimeter: Building Secure Global Networks in the Age of Technology Consumerization and Anthony Lim, Board Member, Singapore Chapter, Cloud Security Alliance - Cloud Computing Security – The Soft Spot (Reprise)

CLOUDSEC 2014 also examined the business impact that the IoE brings, and how enterprises can harness the potential of IoE to boost their bottom line. Drawing the line back to security, CLOUDSEC speakers dived into the various aspects of how enterprises can secure their IoE ecosystem in order to reap the benefits from it, with the goal of ensuring that attendees have a clear picture of how they can devise security strategies for the IoE by the end of the conference.
