He is advisor chair to Advanced Technology Academic Research Center- Multi-cloud, NIST Multi-cloud working group, Cloud Security Alliance and ISC2. Kapil is also serving as contributor and member of industry foundations such as the Decentralized Identity Foundation, Cloud Native Computing Foundation and the Open Identity Exchange, the international not-for-profit clearinghouse for Internet trust privacy frameworks. He has been a contributor to various US privacy laws and regulations.
