Cloud Security Alliance Announces Agenda, Speaker Line-Up for CloudBytes Connect Virtual Conference
Earn up to 12 CPE credits and the chance to win CCSK, CCAK tokens
SEATTLE – May 19, 2020 – The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining standards, certifications and best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, today announced details on its upcoming virtual conference CloudBytes Connect (May 26-28). The event, which is free to attend, is themed, Virtual Roadmap: Guiding Your Journey to the Cloud, and will bring the collaboration of research and community to the forefront to provide attendees with actionable steps to further their cloud journey.
“The dramatic increase in cloud usage since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis has placed even greater importance on cloud services, and accordingly, cloud security,” said Jim Reavis, co-founder and CEO, Cloud Security Alliance. “No matter where a company is in its cloud journey, whether just at the beginning or looking for new ways in which to innovate, there’s always room to learn from peers and those that have gone before us. As we embark on a series of virtual learning events, it’s our hope that the cloud and cybersecurity communities come together to both further their individual security postures and the cloud community as a whole.”
Over the course of the three-day event, participants will benefit from CSA’s deep trove of research initiatives that educate the industry on key issues and trends faced in cloud security. They will join world-class speakers, including leading executives from Adobe, Microsoft and Waverly Labs, in discussions on:
- Transitioning (May 26). As organizations look to transition to the cloud, the road ahead can appear overwhelming. Sessions on this day will provide guidance and best practices for those just beginning their cloud journey.
- Enhancing (May 27). For organizations with established cloud environments, enhancing security is the first line of defense against critical threats and the next step on the path towards a trusted cloud.
- Innovating (May 28). Reliance on cloud technology brings concerns about system breaches, privacy, shared responsibility, and compliance with regulations. Organizations with mature cloud environments must look beyond today's threats and develop innovative security solutions to address the needs of tomorrow's cloud.
Speakers will be available on Circle for follow-up discussions in the Inner Circle community group immediately after the sessions. Circle is a global community of CSA members and partners that facilitates the sharing of resources and discussion.
In addition to the opportunity to earn 12 CPE credits, participants will be entered into a daily raffle to win a complimentary Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) exam token or Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK) token (the first release of tokens for this new program). CSA is also offering a $25 DoorDash gift card to the first 50 attendees of the noon session each day.
Several weeks later the spotlight will turn to security and privacy within the digital world as part of the Virtual EU Summit (June 9-12). In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, increasing numbers of companies and employees are using the cloud, making secure and reliable cloud services a basic requirement of the digital world. Concerns about system breaches, privacy and compliance with regulations are key factors that delay the rapid implementation of a cloud strategy, especially in the public sector. The event is set to address trust-building measures such as certification, risk management, and privacy protection to support agency missions, and the private sector, in a secure and trusted cloud environment.
