Built upon existing Cloud Security Alliance programs, the Trusted Cloud Provider program allows organizations to demonstrate their commitment to holistic security and services as a reference point for customers looking to identify cloud providers that are aligned with their security requirements.

Organizations who seek to demonstrate their commitment to security best practices in safeguarding their customer data can benefit from becoming a CSA Trusted Cloud Provider.

How to become a Trusted Cloud Provider

Benefits to Becoming a Trusted Cloud Provider Include:

A TCP trustmark to be displayed on the organization's entry in the STAR Registry and for own use.
An indication of a higher level of maturity than with STAR alone.
A PR announcement of the organization as a new CSA TCP on social media and at CSA's annual SECtember conference.
Being a highlighted TCP organization in certain educational campaigns.

To qualify as a Trusted Cloud provider an organization must:

Have a current entry in the CSA STAR registry.
Have at least one current member of staff who has achieved the CSA Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
Be a corporate member of CSA and volunteer at least 20 hours annually to CSA activities as evidence of continued dedication to securing the cloud.

Security, Trust, Assurance, and Risk (STAR)

STAR encompasses the key principles of transparency, rigorous auditing, and harmonization of standards outlined in the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM). Publishing to the registry allows organizations to show current and potential customers their security and compliance posture, including the regulations, standards, and frameworks they adhere to. It ultimately reduces complexity and helps alleviate the need to fill out multiple customer questionnaires.

The Trusted Cloud Provider program extends the credibility of on the STAR Registry by showing their extended commitmentholistic security through training/education and contributing to thethrough volunteering and cloud security evangelism.
