Cloud Security Alliance Announces Trusted Cloud Consultant Program
New program connects enterprise companies with trusted, qualified consultants
SEATTLE – Oct. 27, 2022 – The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining standards, certifications and best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, today announced the launch of the Trusted Cloud Consultant Program, which allows cloud security professionals and organizations that demonstrate a broad understanding of CSA best practices and values to be recognized as a qualified source of professional services.
The Trusted Cloud Consultant Program lets cybersecurity consulting organizations and professionals enhance their cloud relevance, providing them with a broad understanding of CSA’s tools and best practices, including but not limited to secure cloud design, cloud architecture, secure cloud implementation, and cloud information security programs, as well as cloud assessment and compliance, risk management, and cloud security governance.
“A recent CSA study found that despite the fact that virtually all organizations use the cloud, less than half utilize vendors or tools to quantify their risk. As companies increasingly turn to the cloud, it’s imperative that companies are not only aware of cloud security best practices but have the know-how to implement them, and that’s where a Trusted Cloud Consultant comes in,” said Jim Reavis, co-founder and CEO, Cloud Security Alliance.
“At Paramount, we have always been at the forefront of bringing best practices and industry-acclaimed expertise to our clients. With leading organizations in the Arabian Gulf embracing the cloud, security continues to be an unintentional afterthought. The significant majority of security professionals understand on-prem security, but the lift-and-shift of this knowledge or the security technology stack or the existing security process framework is not the right way forward. We believe security must be cloud-risk centric. In close association with CSA, we believe we can make a significant difference to the way cloud security is delivered in the regions we operate. With Paramount’s CSA certified consultants and chapter associations, we look forward to delivering on best practices to address the cloud security concerns of our clients, across people risk, process risks, and technology risks,” said Premchand Kurup, CEO, Paramount Computer Systems, UAE.
The benefits of becoming an authorized Trusted Cloud Consultant include:
- Company listing and link in the Trusted Cloud Consultant Program Registry
- Trusted Cloud Consultant trustmark to promote their designation
- Access to CSA best practices and research artifacts
- Press release template to announce company designation as a CSA Trusted Cloud Consultant
“In today’s complex workforce environment, companies are struggling to ensure that they remain secure in the cloud. The TCC Program not only advances a company's cloud security practice but helps those with the TCC designation elevate their professional profile in a competitive industry,” said Scott Williams, Vice President, Business Development, Cloud Security Alliance.
In order to receive the TCC designation, a company must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current CSA Corporate Member in good standing
- Confirm that each consultant wishing to provide services utilizing CSA best practices has successfully passed the current version of the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) or the Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK)
- Contribute to one or more of the following CSA programs:
