Cloud Security Alliance APAC Summit 2016 Set to Open for CloudAsia
Cloud Security Alliance and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) partners to deliver international perspective at CloudAsia
SINGAPORE – February 12, 2016 - Cloud Security Alliance Asia Pacific (CSA APAC) is proud to announce that this year’s CSA APAC Summit will be the curtain opener for Infocomm Development Authority’s (IDA) CloudAsia conference, a premium Cloud Computing event in Asia in its eighth edition. This year’s Summit will focus on the future of global cloud computing, enterprise security and governance concerns. The Summit will be hosted on May 3, 2016, at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore.
In addition, the CSA Security, Trust and Assurance Registry (STAR) Certification Summit will be held on May 5, and will bring together certification bodies and representatives from Governments from Asia, Europe and North America to discuss current cloud security compliance and assurance challenges as well as future of cloud computing certification.
An industry briefing was held on Jan 28, 2016 to announce the new partnership between CSA APAC Summit and CloudAsia to the industry. More than 60 organizations attended the briefing, including representatives from some of most recognisable ICT companies worldwide.
“Cloud Computing continues to grow stronger, and IDA will forge ahead with its goal of engaging enterprises for greater awareness with our premier event. CloudAsia has always been the primary avenue for IDA to discuss policy and regulatory issues. As Singapore journeys to be a Smart Nation, our event will continue to deliver top quality information, education, sharing, and foster community building in the fast growing ecosystem,” said Dr. Lee Hing Yan, Director of National Cloud Computing Office, IDA.
“It is our privilege and an exciting opportunity for us to partner with such an esteemed organization, as IDA crafts and creates the must-attend event for the cloud community. Given the explosive growth and even greater untapped potential in this field, it is imperative that the latest developments, advances, and applications be given the best possible platform for discussion. That’s what CloudAsia is about, and no other event can deliver the sheer technical knowledge, user experience, and business opportunities to be found here,” said Ian Monteiro, Director, Image Engine.
“The Cloud Security Alliance, in keeping with our mission to advance the use of cloud adoption and securing the cloud environment for users and practitioners globally, is pleased to stand with IDA and Image Engine in support of CloudAsia. We are confident that the event will serve as the premier platform to connect innovative cloud solution and technology providers with the enterprises and government users who are genuinely looking to the use of cloud-driven applications to provide greater level of service and value to their customers, partners and citizens,” said Aloysius Cheang, Executive Vice President of Asia Pacific, Cloud Security Alliance.
