Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) AI Summit at RSAC to Deliver Critical Tools to Help Meet Rapidly Evolving Demands of AI

Event to provide attendees with a holistic understanding of AI’s future along with pragmatic advice on managing risks and gaining benefits from generative AI

SEATTLEApril 17, 2024 – This year, the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining standards, certifications, and best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, will host a revolutionary summit at the RSA Conference — the CSA AI Summit, which will bring together influential AI and cloud providers, security experts, and innovators, all of whom are dedicated to sharing best practices that address the ever-evolving challenges of cloud and cybersecurity.

In addition to the headline session, A Fireside Chat with Kevin Mandia and Phil Venables of Google Cloud, attendees of this year’s summit will hear from industry innovators and experts who will discuss critical AI and cloud topics, such as shared responsibility between AI solution providers and AI consumers, pragmatic AI usage guidelines tied to existing security and governance frameworks, how cybersecurity makes AI safe, and the ethical issues and societal impact surrounding the rapid emergence of AI.

"Generative AI solutions such as ChatGPT are virally transforming the world, forcing everyone from governments to cybercriminals to question whether they can not only withstand the AI revolution but leverage it to their benefit," said Jim Reavis, CEO and co-founder, Cloud Security Alliance. "This year's CSA Summit takes a deep dive, bringing together influential AI and cloud providers, security experts, and innovators dedicated to sharing best practices that address the ever-evolving challenges of cloud and cybersecurity.”

The day will kick off with a panel discussion, Navigating Uncharted Territory with CSA Startups. This discussion will bring together visionary leaders from CSA’s startup members to explore the tools and strategies they are implementing to prepare for the future of cloud and cybersecurity. Moderated by renowned cybersecurity expert Elad Yoran, who brings with him over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, the panel will share insights into the unique challenges and opportunities faced by startups as they sit at the forefront of safeguarding digital ecosystems.

The agenda also features such sessions as:

  • AI Shake Up: The Future Risks and Opportunities with AI in Software Development. Join Tenable's CTO Glen Pendley and VP of Engineering, Data & Analytics Vincent Gilcreest for a lively discussion on the risks and opportunities AI brings to the world of software development – including real-world examples from the engineering team behind Tenable ExposureAI.
  • Cybersecurity Strategy for the C-Level (Panel). As part of the CxO Trust program, this panel will explore C-level considerations related to security strategy and risk. With primary accountability for technology strategy, security, and risk, C-level leaders are being asked to use their authority and influence to deliver more resilient, more equitable, more sustainable outcomes. Join the discussion with panelists and prominent members of the C-suite who have led public and private sector teams at the highest levels of government and industry.
  • Integrating GenAI into Cloud Security Solutions (Panel). This panel of leading industry experts will discuss the nuances of incorporating GenAI into cloud-based products and the varied strategies cloud vendors are employing to roll out GenAI capabilities. The discussion will explore different strategies for ensuring the security, privacy, and integrity of data for both cloud service providers and their customers, while also examining best practices for operational safety and compliance. Participants will leave equipped with actionable insights on enabling GenAI capabilities securely and effectively.
  • Fireside Chat with Lisa Einstein and Caleb Sima. Join Caleb Sima, Chair of CSA’s AI Safety Initiative and Lisa Einstein, Senior Advisor for Artificial Intelligence and Executive Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Advisory Committee as they discuss their unique experiences navigating the ever-evolving cloud threat landscape and strategies to build a secure cloud ecosystem.
  • Harnessing AI for End-to-End Cloud Security: From Development to Runtime. With cyber threats evolving through AI-driven tactics leveraging AI for defense becomes imperative for safeguarding cloud workloads. Safeguarding the supply chain necessitates comprehensive security measures from development to runtime. This session explores strategies for employing AI to fortify workloads throughout their lifecycle, ensuring robust protection against emerging threats.
