Cloud Security Alliance EMEA Congress 2014 to Host Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Architecture Workshop

Registration Now Open for Hands-On Lab for Auditing AWS Cloud Services

Rome, Italy – Novemver 6, 2014 - The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and MIS Training Institute today announced the addition of an important new workshop, “Auditing Your Amazon Web Services Security Architecture”, scheduled to take place during the upcoming CSA EMEA Congress 2014 being held November 19-20 in Rome, Italy. Auditing Your AWS Security Architecture will be a hands-on lab that will enable AWS customers, their internal/external auditors, and business partners to understand how to audit the use of AWS services through extending their existing auditing objectives. The skills learned will help provide visibility, testability, and automated evidence gathering capabilities. Additionally, the lab will focus on auditing the security architecture and controls of AWS cloud services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Elastic Block Storage (EBS), Amazon S3, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) and AWS CloudFormation Templates. The class will help customers and auditors in understanding the technical control features of AWS that can directly support a repeatable, reportable and auditable architecture through a single management console as well as scale security and governance capabilities through automation, custom build, distribution and verifiable elements. The workshop is best suited for individuals who are responsible for internal and external auditing of AWS services and architecture and security engineers and administrators who are responsible for designing and implementing regulated workloads and secure architectures on AWS.
