Cloud Security Alliance Expands CCSK Training Program
CSA selects HP as Master Training Partner for China and Japan
Seattle, WA – June 17, 2014 – The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) today announced that in recognition of the success and growth of the CSA Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) Certification training program conducted by HP, the CSA is expanding the program, awarding HP the Master Training Partner designation for China and Japan. The CSA Master Training Program is designed to accelerate worldwide access and adoption of the CSA’s Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) Certification, the industry’s most trusted user certification program for the advancement of secure cloud computing. As a Master Training Program partner, HP receives a special ‘go to market’ designation for select countries in addition to those where it offers training globally. "Whether by mandate or through a pragmatic approach to mitigating cloud risks, the growth in professionals obtaining the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) has been tremendous,” said Jim Reavis, CEO of the CSA. “We are pleased to expand our training partnership with HP to increase our focus in China and Japan. Formal training has been proven to increase exam pass rates and improve the overall skillset of the cloud security professional." Named the number one cloud certification in the industry and referred to as “the mother of all cloud computing security certifications,” by CIO.com , thousands of IT and security professionals have pursued the CCSK certification to upgrade skillsets and enhance careers. The CCSK is an examination testing for a broad foundation of knowledge about cloud security, with topics ranging from architecture, governance, compliance, operations, encryption, virtualization and much more. The CCSK is aligned with the latest release of CSA’s Security Guidance as well as other intellectual property, which comprises the CSA Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). “HP Education Services firmly believes that Security Education is the antibiotic that will lead to the creation of a safer environment for cloud adoption,” said Huey Bo Moo, Director of Education Services APJ at HP. “We are working with CSA to develop security skills, experience and mindsets that are much needed to successfully to design, build, operate and use cloud securely.” With assistance from HP, CSA has invested in the global expansion of CCSK training availability, with a key focus on the Asia Pacific region. CSA and HP are working closely to collaborate on a curriculum roadmap through the CCSK Center of Excellence based out of Asia Pacific. In addition, HP plans to adapt existing CCSK lab-based training to include HP cloud solutions, and HP Education Services will certify HP CCSK training staff based on HP’s CSA-certified courseware.
