Registration Opens for Cloud Security Alliance Congress EMEA 2019
Agenda to mix presentations and topical discussions on research, development, practice, and requirements related to cloud security
Berlin, Germany – May 13, 2019 – The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining standards, certifications and best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, today announced that registration has opened for the annual CSA Congress EMEA (Berlin, Nov. 18-21, 2019). This multi-day conference will offer cloud security professionals a unique mixture of compelling presentations and topical discussions on research, technical and policy development, practice, requirements and tools related to cloud security, privacy and emerging technologies.
“This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Cloud Security Alliance. To commemorate the event, CSA EMEA Congress will bring key thought leaders to the main stage and look ahead to the next 10 years of cloud security as they bring to bear the lessons learned by enterprises and providers as cloud has become the dominant IT system in the market,” said Daniele Catteddu, Chief Technology Officer, Cloud Security Alliance. “Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore new frontiers that are accelerating change in information security, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and IoT.”
The Call for Papers is now open. Those interested in submitting should do so before the June 28 deadline.
Attendees will also be able to take part in two days of training:
- CCSK Foundation Training (Nov. 18) The CCSK Foundation class provides students a comprehensive 1-day review of cloud security fundamentals and prepares them to take the CSA CCSK exam. Starting with a detailed description of cloud computing, the course covers all major domains in the latest Guidance document from the CSA, a general overview of the structure and function of CSA’s Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) document, and the recommendations from the European Network and Information Security Agency. This class is geared towards security professionals, but is also useful for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of cloud security.
- Cloud Governance & Compliance Training (Nov. 19) The Cloud Governance & Compliance (CGC) training is a 1-day course on tools and mechanisms for governance and compliance and has a specific focus on the CSA Cloud Control Matrix (CCM). The CCM is specifically designed to provide fundamental security principles that guide cloud service vendors toward the most secure practices and to assist prospective cloud customers in assessing the overall security posture of cloud providers.
- GDPR Lead Auditor Training Course (Nov. 18-19). This training is specifically designed to instruct and certify internal and third-party auditors on how to audit against the requirements of the CSA PLA Code of Practice, the CSA technical specification for GDPR compliance, and its related certification and code of conduct.
