Published 07/27/2021
The Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK) is the first credential available for industry professionals to demonstrate their expertise in the essential principles of auditing cloud computing systems. Developed by CSA and ISACA, the CCAK credential and training program fills the need for vendor-neutral, technical training and credentials in cloud auditing. With the exam containing 76 multiple choice questions, taking time to prepare and creating a study plan is recommended. CSA offers various resources specifically designed to help you pass your CCAK exam.
Resource 1: Study Guide
The Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK) Study Guide is a valuable resource for IT business professionals looking to pass the CCAK exam. It helps individuals acquire the necessary foundational knowledge of cloud governance, compliance, security, and auditing. Developed with the support of the Cloud Audit Expert group, the guide takes a deep dive into the content covered in the CCAK and reinforces materials with a combination of basic concepts and terminology, targeted examples, and best practices.
The guide encompasses chapters on cloud governance, cloud compliance programs, CSA’s Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) and Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ), cloud auditing, continuous assurance and compliance, as well as a glossary of key terms. Additional chapters cover CCM auditing guidelines, cloud threat analysis methodology using CCM, and evaluating a cloud compliance program. Each chapter outlines basic learning objectives with ensuing sections providing content knowledge and a short quiz.

There are two options for completing the training program: an online self-paced program and a virtual instructor-led program.
The online self-paced option includes interactive graphics and knowledge-based questions, allowing learners to:
- Revisit specific areas for further study
- Start and stop the course as needed, picking up exactly where they left off
- Use flash cards, memory games and crosswords to test their understanding of the topics

In contrast, the virtual instructor-led program is an intensive course that allows learners to:
- Interact with the instructor and ask the most pressing questions
- Drill through sample exam items alongside fellow exam candidates
- Get the answers to build your confidence as you prepare for exam day

Resource 3: Questions and Answers Collection
Strengthen your CCAK exam preparation with the help of over 200 sample questions. This option provides the closest approximation to questions that will be asked on the exam. Through this 12-month subscription on the ISACA Perform Platform, learners can review the questions and answers by domain, allowing for concentrated study in particular areas. All question-and-answer sets include a brief explanation for each answer choice, allowing learners to fully understand the rationale behind each answer choice, both correct and incorrect.
