CCM v4.1

CCM v4.1

Open Until: 08/08/2025

The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) in collaboration with the CCM WG is pleased to announce the release of the Final Draft of the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) version 4.1 for open peer review. We invite cloud security professionals and organizations to participate and provide valuable feedback on the proposed updates.

Project Scope and Objectives
The CCM is a foundational cybersecurity framework that helps organizations implement and assess cloud security controls. As cloud environments evolve rapidly, version 4.1 builds upon the current CCM 4.0 by refining existing controls and introducing new ones to address emerging threats and technologies. This update aims to enhance the applicability, clarity, and effectiveness of the controls to better support cloud security risk management.

Why Your Input Matters
Cloud security is a shared responsibility, and the CCM serves as a vital tool for organizations of all sizes and sectors. Your expert insights will help us:

  1. Validate the practical relevance and usability of updated and new controls
  2. Identify any gaps or ambiguities in the current final draft
  3. Ensure the balance between comprehensive security and broad industry adoption

How to Participate
Please access the CCMv4.1 final draft via the provided link. Reviewers are encouraged to comment directly in the document, focusing on the content and technical substance of the controls rather than editorial matters.

Your expertise is critical to making CCM v4.1 a robust and widely accepted security standard. We look forward to your constructive contributions and thank you in advance for your participation.
