With recent events such as the JBS and Colonial Pipeline attacks making Ransomware an international conversation, security professionals are being asked to explain protections against this threat to boards and regulators. Concurrently, the threat itself has evolved and become more organized, moving from simply encrypting data to exfiltration, disclosure, insider trading, and more.

In this talk aimed at security leadership, we will review how Ransomware has changed, look at ways it may mutate in the future, and discuss protection strategies to proactively defend against this threat.
