New Chapter in Bangalore India to Promote the Secure Adoption of Cloud Computing Across India
Seattle, WA – November 14, 2013 - The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) today announced the formation of its latest new chapter in Bangalore, India. In recognition of the importance of India’s role as a major stakeholder in cloud computing, the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) has established its official chapter in Bangalore, India. This is the second CSA chapter in India following the CSA’s Mumbai Chapter which is one of the largest CSA chapters in the world. “There are now 13 official CSA chapters in APAC with over 48 chapters spanning every major continent around the world, demonstrating that defining and implementing cloud security best practices is truly a global commitment,” said Aloysius Cheung, Managing Director, CSA APAC. “This second official Indian chapter provides the CSA with another important strategic foothold in the critical Indian subcontinent and we are excited to bring another official CSA chapter into the fold.” “India is one of the most exciting markets for cloud computing given its huge SME market and growing reliance on IT by both business and government,” said Keith Prabhu, Head of India Regional Coordinating Body. “Security has been identified as the most important concern for Cloud adoption.
