Cloud Security Alliance Establishes New Third-Party Consultancy Program to Ensure Best Practices in Secure Cloud Implementation
CSA Names Optiv As First Certified Provider for New Program
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – February 13, 2017 – RSA Conference 2017 – The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, today announced the formation of the CSA Global Consultancy Program (CSA-CP), a new program designed to support organizations in need of improved cloud security posture and high standards of compliance and assurance. The CSA-CP will be grounded with CSA’s best practices and will be offered from a highly-vetted, trusted network of organizations and professionals.
The CSA-CP, launching in mid 2017, looks to simplify the research for trusted consultancy services and accelerate the adoption of effective secure cloud implementations, through the creation of an open accessible registry of qualified organizations and professionals vetted and recommend by the CSA. The CSA-CP will define policy and requirements for an organization to be recognized by CSA as ‘CSA Qualified Consultancy Service Providers.’ These qualified service providers will be listed in the CSA Consultancy Services Registry (CSA-CSR), which is a web repository similar to the CSA STAR Registry.
“As a long-time supporter of CSA’s best practices, certifications and guidance, we look forward to helping organizations better understand how to implement an effective cloud security posture and ensure compliance and assurance standards are met,” said JD Sherry, Vice President, GM, Cloud Security & Strategy, Optiv, Inc. “The consultancy program will serve an excellent purpose in this regard and we are proud that Optiv is part of what we expect to be a valuable program in the future.”
Requirements for selection into the CSA-CSR include:
- Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) examination
- CSA CCM training course completion
- CSA STAR Certification Qualified Auditor designation and/or Consultant designation
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) current year exam completion.
