David Nickles

David Nickles is a Global Audit Program Manager for FSI’s at Amazon Web Services (AWS). His work focuses on enabling financial services institutions to move their workloads to the cloud by providing sound guidance for building programs to ensure regulatory, governance, risk, compliance, audit, and security control requirements are met, align to industry best practices, and appropriate due diligence activity is completed. Prior to AWS, David spent 18 years leading and delivering successful outcomes for enterprise, operational, and IT risk initiatives at the following large financial institutions; Fidelity Investments, GE Capital, BNP Paribas, Mastercard, and UBS. David holds a number of IT industry certifications including CRISC, CGEIT, CISM, and CDPSE certifications from ISACA (international professional association focused on IT governance), AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification, and the certificate in cloud security knowledge as well as the certificate in cloud auditing knowledge from Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). David served as a Board member for the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter as the Corporate Relations Committee Chair in 2020-2021 when the chapter received an Outstanding Chapter Award.

David received his Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from St. Lawrence University.
