Luciano (J.R.) Santos

Chief Customer Officer, CSA

J.R. Santos serves as the Chief Customer Officer for the Cloud Security Alliance. In this role, J.R. serves as a CSA Member advocate, partnering with leaders across all business units to transform the member experience and ensure that members are the center of every business decision. J.R. leads the Experience Services organization that includes the CSA Membership and Sales team, who work collaboratively to promote a consistent experience for CSA Members across the company.

J.R. previously served as the Executive Vice President of Research for the Cloud Security Alliance. He was responsible for all aspects of the Cloud Security Alliance’s research portfolio that covered a diverse range of cloud security topics such as IoT, DevSecOps, blockchain, quantum security, big data, artificial intelligence and application containers and microservices. He was responsible for the execution of the research strategy worldwide. In addition, he advised over 30+ working groups that developed industry-leading security practices, education and tools.

J.R. has over 20+ years of experience working in information security in a variety of industry sectors including finance, healthcare, aerospace, retail, and technology. J.R. is an active professional in the security industry and has served on various boards and committees throughout his career. J.R. holds various professional certifications and graduated from the University of Washington.
