Mauricio Tavares has worked with state government, academia, credit card, and medical sectors for over 15 years, from being security architecture and governance lead for a $23M multinational research project to helping small businesses with security and data privacy.

A TrustedCI Fellow, he contributed to NIST's, CSA's, and the European Data Protection Board's regulations and frameworks, and discussed topics ranging from aerospace engineering to computer automation and data privacy at AIAA, IEEE, ISSA, OWASP, NSF, and DEFCON events.
