PayBrain Payment Platform

PayBrain Payment Platform is the SaaS service covered by this CAIQ v4.1 self-assessment: a crypto payment-acceptance platform for merchants, settled in euros.

Scope of the service - Merchant onboarding (business verification) and web dashboard: transactions, settlements, compliance files and reports. - Payment acceptance: hosted payment pages and QR codes, payment links, and a point-of-sale application for Android payment terminals connected to the platform through an authenticated API. - Built-in compliance: payer identification by amount thresholds, screening against sanctions and PEP watchlists, risk engine, transaction records and Travel Rule data exchanged with regulated partners. - Custody, conversion and settlement are performed by regulated partners; the platform holds no customer funds and no customer private keys.

Deployment and data - Multi-tenant SaaS hosted in the European Union on independently audited infrastructure providers; data isolated per merchant. - Personal data processed: merchant representatives, merchants' customers (payers), within the limits of the privacy policy published at https://www.paybrain.fr/legal/confidentialite.

Shared responsibilities Merchants manage their user accounts (two-factor authentication available), the physical custody of their terminals, and the accuracy of the customer information collected at the point of sale. PayBrain operates the platform, its security controls and its compliance tooling.

Offers an industry-accepted way to document what security controls exist in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. It provides a set of Yes/No/NA questions and space to justify the response a cloud consumer and cloud auditor may wish to ask of a cloud provider to ascertain their compliance to the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM).
