Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)

Disaster Recovery “as-a-Service” (DRaaS) is the cloud computing service that allows the recovery of data and IT infrastructure of a complete environment of systems and related data. This allows to restore access and functionality to the IT infrastructure after a disaster event. The as-a-service model provides that the customer itself does not have to own all the resources nor take care of all the tools necessary for Disaster Recovery, relying on the service provider. The Public Administration will be left with planning for the Disaster Recovery Plan, for the activation of the tools made available by the provider. DRaaS is based on the replication and hosting of servers in a different PSN site than the primary location. The customer therefore has a tool in his hand to activate when, in the execution of his Disaster Recovery Plan, he decides to activate the other location to respond to a disastrous event
