Now4real

Many social aspects have been added t the web over time (counters of page visits, social sharing buttons, commenting systems, etc.), but none of them considers the real-time dimension: the fact that two or more people are viewing the same page at the same moment.

Now4real is a SaaS that counts in real-time how many people have the same page visible in the foreground and shows these real-time presence counters on the page. As soon as the page goes to the background (another browser tab gets the focus, another app goes in the foreground, etc.), the counter is instantly decreased by 1. We call instant community the group of people who happen to be visiting the same page simultaneously. In addition to the real-time counters, Now4real manages live group ephemeral chats for every web page, which we call pagechats. A pagechat is like a chat room dedicated to the topics of that specific web page; basically, each URL gets its own real-time chat.

This means that Now4real easily transforms any website into a live environment, where people meet like in the physical world.
