Owkin Inc

Owkin is a company working in the healthcare biotech area and was founded in 2016 by people specialised in machine learning (ML) applied to biology. Since then Owkin has been using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ML to identify new drug candidates, de-risk and accelerate clinical trials, and build diagnostic solutions that improve patient outcomes.

Owkin uses machine learning discovery to help its clients in pharmaceutical discovery (i.e. to discover new drugs ) and unlock complex biology to find the right treatment for every patient.

The research is based on biology and patient data. AI is used to design and identify drugs that fit with a particular patient.

Owkin uses AI to identify new treatments, de-risk and accelerate clinical trials, and build diagnostic tools. Using federated learning, a collaborative AI framework, Owkin enables partners to unlock valuable insights from siloed datasets while protecting patient privacy and securing proprietary data. To ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the platform and hosted data, Owkin adopts the ISO/IEC 27001 standards.
