Cloud Security Alliance Incorporates Strategy Domain into Scope of Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT) Exam

Addition ensures security professionals are best prepared to implement and manage their Zero Trust environments

SEATTLE – Aug. 27, 2024 – To better equip professionals with the essential knowledge they need to understand and implement Zero Trust principles, the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining standards, certifications, and best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, has incorporated Zero Trust strategy into the exam of its award-winning Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT). The updated CCZT exam now evaluates an individual’s knowledge and expertise in these seven areas of critical Zero Trust knowledge: Zero Trust foundational concepts, Software Defined Perimeter, industry best practices, Zero Trust architecture, Zero Trust strategy, Zero Trust planning, and Zero Trust implementation.

“The Cloud Security Alliance has established itself as the frontrunner in providing leading-edge security training, and the Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust is no exception. Now with the inclusion of the strategy domain into the exam, we are continuing to set the pace and ensure that cybersecurity professionals are prepared with the skills they need to protect their organizations’ most valuable assets,” said Jim Reavis, CEO and co-founder, Cloud Security Alliance.

Backed by the titans of Zero Trust, the CCZT is the industry’s first Zero Trust certificate built by integrating the guidance of Zero Trust experts, foundational documents from authoritative sources, and innovative leadership from vendor-neutral CSA Research. The CCZT provides an in-depth understanding of Zero Trust architecture, its components, and its functioning and includes foundational Zero Trust best practices released by leading authoritative sources such as CISA and NIST, innovative work around the Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) by CSA Research, and guidance from renowned Zero Trust experts such as John Kindervag, founder of the Zero Trust philosophy and one of the world’s foremost cybersecurity experts.

Named a Cutting Edge Cybersecurity Training Award winner by Cyber Defense Magazine, the CCZT is recognized as a leader in equipping professionals with advanced skills for implementing Zero Trust security architectures.
