He excels in driving strategic and tactical guidance, providing leadership in cybersecurity initiatives. Throughout his career, Akhil has collaborated closely with CISOs and executive leadership to design and implement security frameworks and software security solutions tailored to meet diverse business objectives. His expertise spans a wide spectrum, from conducting comprehensive risk assessments in areas such as application security, network infrastructure, regulatory requirements, third-party risk to developing actionable maturity plans for various organizations.

Akhil is fortunate to lead and grow a fantastic team of talented cybersecurity professionals, supporting leading banks, national retailers, and enterprises in securing applications and software development processes, strengthening the defense across the board. Akhil managed the application security program and Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) through architectural reviews, threat modeling, risk assessment, code reviews, SAST/DAST, manual pen testing, cloud security, continuous monitoring/integration and incident response. Akhil has also led Building Security In Maturity Model (BSIMM) assessments to evaluate and improve software security maturity within organizations, providing leadership insights into security practices and benchmarking against industry standards. Akhil holds ISC2 CISSP and CCSP certifications.
