Benfeng Chen is a cybersecurity innovator, open-source advocate, and Chair of the CSA GCR Zero Trust Working Group. He is the inventor and lead author of the Network-infrastructure Hiding Protocol (NHP), the third generation of network hiding technology and a pioneering contribution extending Zero Trust principles to the network session layer. As a key contributor to the CSA Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP) v2 and v3 specifications, he served as the main editor for the SPA/NHP section.

As the founder and CEO of CloudDeep Technology, Benfeng spearheaded groundbreaking Zero Trust security innovations in China. Under his leadership, CloudDeep was featured in Gartner’s first Zero Trust Market Guide, marking it as the first Chinese company to receive this recognition—a milestone that highlighted China’s growing influence in the global Zero Trust landscape.

Beyond his entrepreneurial achievements, Benfeng has played a pivotal role in advancing Zero Trust education and adoption across Asia. Under his guidance, the CSA GCR Zero Trust Working Group translated and published over 30 CSA Zero Trust whitepapers and produced 4 influential books on Zero Trust security. He also leads the OpenNHP open-source project (https://github.com/OpenNHP/opennhp), which operationalizes NHP and the Data-object Hiding Protocol (DHP) to protect network and data visibility in the AI era, bridging international CSA frameworks with China’s emerging Zero Trust standards.
