I am so thankful to have received his mentoring, friendship, and learned – in a little way – to see the world through his eyes with all the joy, fun, and constant excitement. Ron was the smartest and most experience “kid” I have ever known – his Joie de Vivre was unmatched.

I miss you, Ron. We all do.

When I heard his voice in the office I knew it would be a good day – I would laugh, learn something and walk away with renewed energy. He set an example on how to live loving your work and your family.

Ron was an inspiration to us all. He was truly unique and special. His passion, desire to learn and educate, came through even while he was disagreeing with you, and it often involved laughter, music, and always a smile. You will be missed Ron!

Ron was a brilliant man with a nimble mind and comprehensive grasp of cloud computing security. To speak with him was always enlightening as his insight blazed through confusing concepts and imprecise language. He could see through problems to solutions, a valued trait he brought to all his efforts. All those whose lives he touched will miss him.

Ron has been a friend, advisor and mentor to me for over 20 years now. Our profession has lost a supremely creative mind and generous personality . Ron always had time for everyone and never said no to anything. There are only so many of us in this business and our number has decreased by a major proportion. My guess is that heaven will be a little bit safer now……

The first time I met Ron Knode was about 14 years ago, when I started working at CSC. I saw his name on the door of his office and stopped it to visit. I asked him if he knew Withrow Knode and he said “Yeah he was my Uncle” I told him he was my father-in-law for 9 years, and I guess that made my children his 2nd cousins. Ever since then, he ALWAYS gave me a hard time (in the Knode way) and I will miss his wit and his abundance of energy that he left with everyone he met. He LOVED his family – it was evident by all the pictures in his office. My heart goes out to his family and colleagues. His family at CSC will miss him dearly.

Ron had the most postively infectious energy and his willingness to assist with anything at anytime was so admirable. I am so pleased to have met him and had the privilege to work with him via the CSA, and still so want to pick up the phone to ask him just one more little question about CTP… Missing him much and sending love and comfort to his family.
