Chief Executives from Leading Global Companies Talk Cloud as the New Dominant IT System; Registration Now Open

San Francisco, CA – February 7, 2018 – RSA Conference 2018 -- The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment today announced the agenda for its annual CSA Summit 2018, a full-day event being held at the RSA Conference 2018 on Monday, April 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This year’s event will feature a host of chief executives from multi-national enterprises, government, cloud providers and the information security industry to share the common practices that are enabling the shift to cloud as the dominant IT system.

“Today’s enterprise cloud adoption has moved well beyond early adoption to encompass a wide range of mission critical business functions,” said Jim Reavis, CEO of the Cloud Security Alliance. “Making this leap has required a transformation in both the technology of security and the mindset of security professionals. In our 9th Cloud Security Alliance Summit, we will look at successful practices across some of the most forward-thinking global brands, as well as explore new frontiers that are accelerating change in information security.”

The CSA Summit at RSA Conference 2018 will feature a number of invited keynote speakers this year including:

  • Matt Goodrich, Director for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), GSA on Lessons Learned from FedRAMP and the Future of Cloud in the Federal Government
  • Robert Palatnick, Chief Architect, Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. on What it Takes: The Right Stuff for Mission Critical Cloud Computing
  • Pete Chronis, Chief Information Security Officer, Turner on The CISOs' role in Shaping Public Policy

In addition to keynote speakers, this year’s event will also feature presentations, case studies and roundtable discussions from notable industry’s industry leaders including American Express, Albertsons Companies, CitiGroup, McAfee, Sallie Mae Corporation and Qualys on a number of important and emerging topics including the CISOs role in shaping public policy, quantum computing, General Data Protection Regulation, fog computing, blockchain, software defined security, identity and access management, and cloud breaches and threats. In addition to the presentations, the CSA will also release new research and updates on standards during the Summit. Also, new this year, the CSA Summit venue will be hosted in a larger venue, allowing for up to 1500 individuals to attend the annual sell-out event.

In addition to the Summit, the CSA will also be offering a separate Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) Training, a comprehensive one day training covering all major domains in the CSA Security Guidance for Critical Areas of Focus in Cloud Computing, the CSA Cloud Control Matrix (CCM), and the recommendations from the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA).
