Akash Verma serves as the Technical Program Manager for Cybersecurity Continuous Assurance Engineering at Google, overseeing various security engineering programs within Google Cloud's continuous risk and compliance assurance endeavors.

Beyond his responsibilities at Google, Akash collaborates with industry experts to drive research and development initiatives aimed at advancing cybersecurity practices and standards, including, but not limited to, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

With an extensive career spanning more than a decade, Akash has held notable positions such as Staff Cybersecurity Governance Program Manager at LinkedIn and Principal InfoSec Engineer at Discover Cards. He is also currently serving as Board of Directors at (ISC)2 Phoenix and as Board of Advisors at UT Austin - Strauss Center of International Security and Law, specializing in the domain of Threat Intelligence and National Security.

His academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication, as well as MS in Information Systems and Operations Management. Akash's commitment to the cybersecurity field is further evidenced by his array of certifications, which include CISSP, GCSA, GCIH, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CNSS 4016, PMP and ITIL. His contributions to cybersecurity field him as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity threat intelligence, risk management, and compliance innovation.
