Faisal Khan

Principal ML Engineer, Palo Alto Networks

Faisal Khan is a Principal ML Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, where his work focuses on AI security. His current work spans model supply-chain security, the security of agentic AI systems, and LLM-powered scaffolding to accelerate security research. He has served as co-chair of the AICM working group and currently co-leads the working group developing the Security Controls Catalog.

Previously, he was a founding engineer at Protect AI, where he helped shape the early product direction and led the engineering behind its model-security platform. He came to that role after a decade as a research software engineer at Argonne National Laboratory, where he built distributed ML pipelines for X-ray science.

He holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research has been presented at NeurIPS and IEEE venues.
