Senior Director Global Business Development – Cloud Strategy

Mike Schrock joined Thales Group (formally Gemalto) in 2015 as the Senior Director, Business Development, managing Cloud Service Provider Strategy. Mr. Schrock is passionate about and has championed digital transformation for over twenty years in his technology alliance and executive management experience, particularly in the digital, cloud and network security, internet and mobile sectors. Prior to joining Gemalto, he held executive roles at OPSWAT running worldwide OEM Sales and prior at F5 Networks.

Today Mike manages a technology and alliance integration team spanning the Thales Cloud Protection & Licensing division. They oversee Cloud and SaaS strategy and execution with the leading clouds, SaaSs and more managed service provider like partners. His team's objectives are to advocate for; 1) open third-party interop, 2)the highest security assurances through cryptology and key management and 3)the developing of direct OEM solution, marketplace solutions and joint customer integrations using each other’s products.

Mike envisions the CSA Cloud Key Management Workgroup acting like a “lighthouse” for all parties involved in today’s digital and cloud transformation unrest. Not as a beacon of hope so much as a direction or heading that we all can agree to as the right way for security and efficiently to thrive together whether we are inclined to row, sail, motor or blastoff to future of IT delivery.
