Berenice Group was founded in February 2000. It successfully developed a Utility Permitting system in 2004, launching live production with City of Brescia in August 2005. In 2005 Berenice launched the first fully automated system for managing Overweight and Oversized Transportation for the Province of Venice. Berenice develops directly or through the participated company GEO.works International Inc. the Commercial Off The Shelf Product called GEO.works to dynamically manage any permit on the Right-of-Way. 51 government agencies currently use GEO.works COTS products (fully configurable multi-language/multi-tenant). These agencies represent more than 31 million inhabitants. In Italy we cover the Lombardy Region (Milan area), Emilia Romagna Region, and Friuli Venezia Giulia Region (Italian Regions are like U.S. States) and recently was acquired by the City of Munich. Our products have over 16,000 users with more than 70,000 permits digitally issued each year. Software versions are available in English, Italian and German.
