The use of cloud computing allows for big data analytics and collaboration, but with the use of cloud computing come the challenges associated with security and regulatory compliance. This paper will look at big data and some use cases for big data in healthcare, the impact of big data on healthcare, regulatory requirements for Protected Health Information (PHI) in the cloud, and securing PHI in the cloud.
