Serverless Working Group Charter 2023

The Serverless Working Group seeks to develop best practices to help organizations that want to run their business with a serverless computing model. Serverless architecture aims at changing the economic model of cloud computing, with the hope of introducing efficiency and cost savings. Serverless computing means that there are no servers for the customer to manage. Hence in a serverless world, the customer no longer has to work at an operating system level. The challenge here however is that this system is dependent upon a Container as a service or a single functions-as-a-service (FaaS) framework, meaning that it is operating within a single context and the constraints of a single cloud provider.
